Hey hey! I’m a PhD student working with Marcus Huber on quantum thermodynamics.

My current research explores the thermodynamics of cooling and information erasure, as well as the control of quantum and classical systems. I am particularly interested in how fundamental limits: energy costs, dissipation and fluctuations, govern our ability to prepare pure states and process information at the microscopic level.

During my Master’s, we developed prodiabatic elimination, a method that goes beyond standard adiabatic elimination of eliminating fast quantum degrees of freedom, by systematically incorporating higher-order corrections and noise effects. This allows for more a accurate effective descriptions, especially in regimes where conventional approaches break down.

I’m always happy to chat about quantum thermodynamics or anything cool in between, feel free to reach out! :)
